Consultation Packages
INITIAL CONSULTATION
The initial consultation will take approximately one hour and thirty minutes, and will be guided by a health questionnaire and 7 day food diary (completed and returned to me prior to the session) relating to your goals, health history, symptoms, lifestyle and diet. From this information, functional testing may be recommended to provide in-depth information on specific areas in preparation for the initial consultation.
During the initial consultation we will explore further the areas requiring support and informed by case analysis and clinical research, we will then work together to create a manageable plan outlining nutritional and lifestyle modifications that you can begin implementing in your life. An appropriate schedule of follow up visits will also be discussed. The number of consultations necessary depends on your unique situation.
Food is always first, but where appropriate, supplements may be recommended.
At the end of the consultation you will be emailed a copy of your nutritional protocol, any supplement and test recommendations and a selection of personalised handouts.
FOLLOW UP CONSULTATION
The follow-up consultation usually occurs 4-6 weeks after the initial / previous consultation and aims to gauge progress and identify any challenges you may have encountered in implementing your plan. We will then work together to adapt and develop your plan further for a more targeted and therapeutic approach.
*Any recommended functional testing and supplements are not included in the consultation fee and will be additional costs

FUNCTIONAL TESTING
As part of this process, functional testing can be used to substantiate the nutritional protocol and guide progress; supporting a targeted strategy and the possibility to provide clarity around individual genetic predispositions.
Functional testing can typically include:
Gastrointestinal function – beneficial vs pathogenic bacteria, parasitic infection
Immune system function- such as food allergy and histamine sensitivity
Nutrition and metabolic function- fatty, amino and organic acids concentrations
Toxicity- environmental pollutants, toxic metal, PCB and pesticide concentrations)
Hormone panels – stress / adrenal, reproductive health
Cardiovascular function- HDL, LDL and insulin levels
Genomics – genetic profiling for susceptibility and nutrient requirements
Vitamin sufficiencies- vitamins D and K, fat-soluble vitamins and CoQ10
Testing is carried out by specialist clinical laboratories, or by your GP where possible. Whilst preferable, functional testing is not essential.
